Get Help Give Now

Welcome to Where The Rubber Meets The Road

Thank you everyone who has donated or will donate to help Houston's homeless this cold winter! With your help, many are provided warmth, food and hope for Christmas and new hope for 2014! Those we do not know but we know they are there and need help. You shared the spirit of Christmas by giving a gift to someone who truly needs it. Jesus was born in a manger and even the manger was a gift by a stranger because our Lord had no place to even be born. We're having a very cold winter and your kindness sends people meals and blankets and helps shelter as many as space allows. May God bless you for your kind gift to the Star of Hope.

Regardless of your religious beliefs, I hope you will consider making a donation if you can afford to do so and have a desire to help.  No donation is too small, every dollar counts and can truly make a difference to help a homeless person or family in Houston. Please consider sharing some of your abundance with others. Please also feel free to forward my virtual outreach to those you know and trust: http://give.sohmission.org/goto/DJ-Stemmer or sign my guest blog at http://soh.ms/1dLhJR7. Thank you and God bless you!

In His Love,

Star of Hope serves Houston's homeless men, women and families daily with help for their immediate needs – and with longer term life-changing spiritual, educational, as well as vocational and employment needs.

Right now, your mission with Star of Hope is more important than ever. Every day, thousands of men, women and children receive food, shelter and care at Star of Hope. It is care they can't get anywhere else, and it’s only possible because of God's provision through you.

This is Our Mission ... and together we can end homelessness one life, one family at a time!
